Becausethey hatedknowledgeAnd did not choosethe fearof the LORD.
"For you hatediscipline,And you castMy wordsbehindyou.
The kingof Israelsaidto Jehoshaphat,"There is yetonemanby whom we may inquireof the LORD,but I hatehim, becausehe does not prophesygoodconcerningme, but evil.[He is] Micaiahsonof Imlah."But Jehoshaphatsaid,"Let not the kingsayso."
A scofferdoes not loveone who reproveshim, He will not goto the wise.
And you say,"HowI have hatedinstruction!And my heartspurnedreproof!
Oneof the lawyerssaidto Him in reply,"Teacher,when You saythis,You insultus too."
From those who leavethe pathsof uprightnessTo walkin the waysof darkness;
"Your dwellingis in the midstof deceit;Through deceitthey refuseto knowMe," declaresthe LORD.
"But he who practicesthe truthcomesto the Light,sothat his deedsmay be manifestedas having beenwroughtin God."

"So she arosein the middleof the nightand tookmy sonfrom besideme while your maidservantslept,and laidhim in her bosom,and laidher deadsonin my bosom.
He who winkshis eyes[does so] to deviseperversethings;He who compresseshis lipsbringsevilto pass.
