Surelyour griefsHe Himselfbore,And our sorrowsHe carried;Yet we ourselvesesteemedHim stricken,Smittenof God,and afflicted.
Moreover, the one who blasphemesthe nameof the LORDshall surelybe putto death;allthe congregationshall certainlystonehim. The alienas well as the native,when he blasphemesthe Name,shall be putto death.
When the centurion,who was standingright in frontof Him, sawthe wayHe breathed His last,he said,"Trulythismanwas the Sonof God!"
ThereforewhenPilateheardthisstatement,he was [even] moreafraid;
For thisreasonthereforethe Jewswere seekingall the moreto killHim, becauseHe not onlywas breakingthe Sabbath,but alsowas callingGodHis ownFather,makingHimselfequalwith God.
