"You heardthat I saidto you, 'I go away,and I will cometo you.' Ifyou lovedMe, you would have rejoicedbecauseI goto the Father,for the Fatheris greaterthan I.
You have ascendedon high,You have ledcaptive[Your] captives;You have receivedgiftsamong men,Even [among] the rebelliousalso,that the LORDGodmay dwell[there].
You shedabroada plentifulrain,O God;You confirmedYour inheritancewhen it was parched.
"Behold,My Servant,whom I uphold;My chosenone [in whom] My souldelights.I have putMy Spiritupon Him; He will bringforthjusticeto the nations.
As a resultof the anguishof His soul,He will see[it and] be satisfied;By His knowledgethe RighteousOne,My Servant,will justifythe many,As He will beartheir iniquities.
"BEHOLD,MY SERVANTWHOMI HAVE CHOSEN;MY BELOVEDIN WHOMMY SOULis WELL-PLEASED;I WILL PUTMY SPIRITUPON HIM, AND HE SHALL PROCLAIMJUSTICETO THE GENTILES.
but ifI dothem, thoughyou do not believeMe, believethe works,sothat you may knowand understandthat the Fatheris in Me, and I in the Father."
"Truly,truly,I sayto you, a slaveis not greaterthan his master,nor[is] one who is sentgreaterthan the one who senthim.
"Truly,truly,I sayto you, he who believesin Me, the worksthat I do,he will doalso;and greater[works] than thesehe will do;becauseI goto the Father.
"I will not leaveyou as orphans;I will cometo you.
"But I tellyou the truth,it is to your advantagethat I goaway;for ifI do not go away,the Helperwill not cometo you; but ifI go,I will sendHim to you.
Jesussaidto her, "Stopclingingto Me, for I have not yetascendedto the Father;but goto My brethrenand sayto them, 'I ascendto My Fatherand your Father,and My Godand your God.'"
SoJesussaidto them again,"Peace[be] with you; as the Fatherhas sentMe, I alsosendyou."
For thisreasonthereforethe Jewswere seekingall the moreto killHim, becauseHe not onlywas breakingthe Sabbath,but alsowas callingGodHis ownFather,makingHimselfequalwith God.
ThereforeJesussaid,"For a littlewhilelongerI amwith you, thenI goto Him who sentMe.
But I wantyou to understandthat Christis the headof everyman,and the manis the headof a woman,and Godis the headof Christ.
and though you have not seenHim, you loveHim, and though you do not seeHim now,but believein Him, you greatly rejoicewith joyinexpressibleand full of glory,
saying,"Writein a bookwhatyou see,and send[it] to the sevenchurches:to Ephesusand to Smyrnaand to Pergamumand to Thyatiraand to Sardisand to Philadelphiaand to Laodicea."
