Neverthelessmanyevenof the rulersbelievedin Him, but becauseof the Phariseesthey were not confessing[Him], for fearthat they would be put out of the synagogue;
"Listento Me, you who knowrighteousness,A peoplein whose heartis My law;Do not fearthe reproachof man,Norbe dismayedat their revilings.
His parentssaidthisbecausethey were afraidof the Jews;for the Jewshad alreadyagreedthat ifanyoneconfessedHim to be Christ,he was to be put out of the synagogue.
Yetno onewas speakingopenlyof Him for fearof the Jews.
The fearof manbringsa snare,But he who trustsin the LORDwill be exalted.
"ThereforeeveryonewhoconfessesMe beforemen,I will alsoconfesshim beforeMy Fatherwho is in heaven.
Whoeverconfessesthat Jesusis the Sonof God,Godabidesin him, and he in God.
By thisyou knowthe Spiritof God:everyspiritthat confessesthat JesusChristhas comein the fleshis from God;
for with the hearta person believes,resultingin righteousness,and with the mouthhe confesses,resultingin salvation.
Sothey went on their wayfrom the presenceof the Council,rejoicingthat they had been considered worthyto suffershamefor [His] name.
Afterthese thingsJosephof Arimathea,beinga discipleof Jesus,but a secret[one] for fearof the Jews,askedPilatethat he might takeawaythe bodyof Jesus;and Pilategranted permission.Sohe cameand took awayHis body.
"They will makeyou outcasts from the synagogue,but an houris comingfor everyonewho killsyou to thinkthat he is offeringserviceto God.
becauseon accountof him manyof the Jewswere going awayand were believingin Jesus.
Thereforemanyof the Jewswho cameto Mary,and sawwhatHe had done,believedin Him.
They answeredhim, "You were bornentirelyin sins,and are you teachingus?" Sothey puthim out.
this mancameto Jesus by nightand saidto Him, "Rabbi,we knowthat You have comefrom God[as] a teacher;for no onecandothesesignsthat You dounlessGodis with him."
"And I sayto you, everyonewhoconfessesMe beforemen,the Sonof Manwill confesshim alsobeforethe angelsof God;
"Blessedare you whenmenhateyou, and ostracizeyou, and insultyou, and scornyour nameas evil,for the sakeof the Sonof Man.
Hearthe wordof the LORD,you whotrembleat His word:"Your brotherswho hateyou, who excludeyou for My name'ssake,Have said,'Let the LORDbe glorified,that we may seeyour joy.'But they will be putto shame.
"Of whomwere you worriedand fearfulWhenyou lied,and did not rememberMe Norgive[Me] a thought?Was I not silenteven for a longtimeSo you do not fearMe?
Then KingZedekiahsaidto Jeremiah,"I dreadthe Jewswhohave goneoverto the Chaldeans,for they may giveme over into their handand they will abuseme."
Pilatesummonedthe chief priestsand the rulersand the people,
But manyof the crowdbelievedin Him; and they were saying,"Whenthe Christcomes,He will not performmoresignsthan those whichthis manhas, will He?"
