"ThereforeI will not restrainmy mouth;I will speakin the anguishof my spirit,I will complainin the bitternessof my soul.
Then they saidto oneanother,"Trulywe are guiltyconcerningour brother,becausewe sawthe distressof his soulwhen he pleadedwith us, yet we would not listen;thereforethisdistresshas comeupon us."
"I loathemy own life;I will givefullventto my complaint;I will speakin the bitternessof my soul.
IfI am wicked,woeto me! And if I am righteous,I dare not liftup my head.[I am] satedwith disgraceand consciousof my misery.
"Be silentbeforeme so that I may speak;Then let comeon me whatmay.
"IfI speak,my painis not lessened,And if I holdback,whathas leftme?
While anotherdieswith a bittersoul,Nevereven tasting[anything] good.
"Eventodaymy complaintis rebellion;His handis heavydespitemy groaning.
"Be careful,do not turnto evil,For you have preferredthisto affliction.
"Do you intendto reprove[my] words,When the wordsof one in despairbelong to the wind?
"ThoughI say,'I will forgetmy complaint,I will leaveoff my [sad] countenanceand be cheerful,'
My heartwas hotwithinme, While I was musingthe fireburned;[Then] I spokewith my tongue:
I have proclaimedgladtidingsof righteousnessin the greatcongregation;Behold,I will not restrainmy lips,O LORD,You know.
"Whatshall I say?For He has spokento me, and He Himselfhas doneit; I will wanderabout allmy yearsbecauseof the bitternessof my soul.
"Lo,for [my own] welfareI hadgreatbitterness;It is You who has keptmy soulfrom the pitof nothingness,For You have castallmy sinsbehindYour back.
And beingin agonyHe was prayingveryfervently;and His sweatbecamelikedropsof blood,falling downupon the ground.
For out of muchafflictionand anguishof heartI wroteto you with manytears;not sothat you would be made sorrowful,but that you might knowthe lovewhichI haveespeciallyfor you.
She, greatlydistressed,prayedto the LORDand weptbitterly.
