Her consecratedoneswere purerthansnow,They were whiterthanmilk;They were moreruddy[in] bodythancorals,Their polishing[was like] lapislazuli.
"Aramwas your customerbecauseof the abundanceof your goods;they paidfor your wareswith emeralds,purple,embroideredwork,finelinen,coraland rubies.
"Do not givewhatis holyto dogs,and do not throwyour pearlsbeforeswine,orthey will trample them undertheir feet,and turnand tear you to pieces.
Likewise,[I want] womento adornthemselveswith properclothing,modestlyand discreetly,not with braided hairand goldorpearlsorcostlygarments,
The womanwas clothedin purpleand scarlet,and adornedwith goldand preciousstonesand pearls,havingin her handa goldcupfullof abominationsand of the unclean thingsof her immorality,
cargoesof goldand silverand preciousstonesand pearlsand fine linenand purpleand silkand scarlet,and every[kind of] citronwoodand everyarticleof ivoryand everyarticle[made] from very costlywoodand bronzeand ironand marble,
And the twelvegateswere twelvepearls;eachoneof the gateswas a singlepearl.And the streetof the citywas puregold,liketransparentglass.
