Yet thesethingsYou have concealedin Your heart;I knowthat thisis withinYou:
"But He knowsthe wayI take;[When] He has triedme, I shall comeforthas gold.
"Behold,I goforwardbut He is not [there], And backward,but I cannotperceiveHim;
When He keepsquiet,whothen can condemn?And when He hidesHis face,whothen can beholdHim, That is, in regardto bothnationand man?--
"Howmuchlesswhenyou sayyou do not beholdHim, The caseis beforeHim, and you must waitfor Him!
"Were He to passby me, I would not seeHim; Were He to movepast[me], I would not perceiveHim.
Howlong,O LORD?Will You hideYourself forever?Will Your wrathburnlikefire?
Truly,You are a Godwho hidesHimself, O Godof Israel,Savior!
And I will waitfor the LORDwho is hidingHis facefrom the houseof Jacob;I will even lookeagerlyfor Him.
