"For the companyof the godlessis barren,And fireconsumesthe tentsof the corrupt.
Ifiniquityis in your hand,putit faraway,And do not let wickednessdwellin your tents;
"The tentsof the destroyersprosper,And those who provokeGodare secure,WhomGodbringsinto their power.
"He will not escapefrom darkness;The flamewill witherhis shoots,And by the breathof His mouthhe will goaway.
"There dwellsin his tentnothingof his; Brimstoneis scatteredon his habitation.
Then Zopharthe Naamathiteanswered,
"For whatis the hopeof the godlesswhenhe is cutoff,WhenGodrequireshis life?
"But the godlessin heartlayup anger;They do not cryfor helpwhenHe bindsthem.
"Soare the pathsof allwhoforgetGod;And the hopeof the godlesswill perish,
"Those who hateyou will be clothedwith shame,And the tentof the wickedwill be nolonger."
The godlypersonhas perishedfrom the land,And thereis noupright[person] among men.Allof them liein waitfor bloodshed;Eachof them huntsthe otherwith a net.
and will cut him in piecesand assignhim a placewith the hypocrites;in that placetherewill be weepingand gnashingof teeth.
"HereI am; bearwitnessagainst me beforethe LORDand His anointed.Whoseoxhave I taken,or whosedonkeyhave I taken,or whomhave I defrauded?Whomhave I oppressed,or from whosehandhave I takena bribeto blindmy eyeswith it? I will restore[it] to you."
His sons,however, did not walkin his ways,but turnedasideafterdishonestgainand tookbribesand pervertedjustice.
