Ben-hadadsentto him and said,"May the godsdosoto me and morealso,ifthe dustof Samariawill sufficefor handfulsfor allthe peoplewhofollowme."
Then the kingof Israelreplied,"Tell[him], 'Let not him who girdson [his armor] boastlike him who takes[it] off.'"
Then he said,"Ifthey have comeout for peace,takethem alive;or ifthey have comeout for war,takethem alive."
"You blewwith Your wind,the seacoveredthem; They sanklike leadin the mightywaters.
"The enemysaid,'I will pursue,I will overtake,I will dividethe spoil;My desireshall be gratifiedagainst them; I will drawout my sword,my handwill destroythem.'
There is an appointedtimefor everything.And there is a timefor everyeventunderheaven--
Now the Egyptiansare menand not God,And their horsesare fleshand not spirit;So the LORDwill stretchout His hand,And he who helpswill stumbleAnd he who is helpedwill fall,And allof them will cometo an endtogether.
"Speakand say,'Thussaysthe LordGOD,"Behold,I am againstyou, Pharaohkingof Egypt,The greatmonsterthat liesin the midstof his rivers,That has said,'My Nileis mine, and I myselfhave made[it].'
"To whichamong the treesof Edenare you thusequalin gloryand greatness?Yet you will be broughtdownwith the treesof Edento the earthbeneath;you will liein the midstof the uncircumcised,with those who were slainby the sword.So is Pharaohand allhis hordes!"'declaresthe LordGOD."
