"Take[some] largestonesin your handsand hidethem in the mortarin the brick[terrace] whichis at the entranceof Pharaoh'spalacein Tahpanhes,in the sightof some[of the] Jews;
He also broughtout the peoplewhowere in it, and set[them] under saws,sharpironinstruments,and ironaxes,and made them passthrough the brickkiln.And thushe didto allthe citiesof the sonsof Ammon.Then Davidand allthe peoplereturned[to] Jerusalem.
and they madetheir livesbitterwith hardlaborin mortarand bricksand at all[kinds] of laborin the field,alltheir laborswhichthey rigorouslyimposedon them.
Pharaohkingof Egypt,his servants,his princesand allhis people;
and sayto them, 'Thussaysthe LORDof hosts,the Godof Israel,"Behold,I am going to sendand getNebuchadnezzarthe kingof Babylon,My servant,and I am going to sethis throne[right] overthesestonesthat I have hidden;and he will spreadhis canopyoverthem.
Then the wordof the LORDcameto Jeremiahin Tahpanhes,saying,
"Thussaysthe LORD,'Behold,I am going to giveover PharaohHophrakingof Egyptto the handof his enemies,to the handof those who seekhis life,justas I gaveover Zedekiahkingof Judahto the handof Nebuchadnezzarkingof Babylon,[who was] his enemyand was seekinghis life.'"
"Now you sonof man,getyourself a brick,placeit beforeyou and inscribea cityon it, Jerusalem.
I have also spokento the prophets,And I gavenumerousvisions,And throughthe prophetsI gaveparables.
Drawfor yourself waterfor the siege!Strengthenyour fortifications!Gointo the clayand treadthe mortar!Takeholdof the brickmold!
And comingto us, he tookPaul'sbeltand boundhis ownfeetand hands,and said,"This is whatthe HolySpiritsays:'In this waythe Jewsat Jerusalemwill bindthe manwhoownsthisbeltand deliverhim into the handsof the Gentiles.'"
Thena strongangeltookup a stonelikea greatmillstoneand threwit into the sea,saying,"Sowill Babylon,the greatcity,be throwndown with violence,and will not be foundany longer.
