and say,'Thussaysthe king,"Putthisman in prisonand feedhim sparinglywith breadand wateruntilI returnsafely."'"
The kingof Israelsaidto Jehoshaphat,"There is yetonemanby whom we may inquireof the LORD,but I hatehim, becausehe does not prophesygoodconcerningme, but evil.[He is] Micaiahsonof Imlah."But Jehoshaphatsaid,"Let not the kingsayso."
"For you hatediscipline,And you castMy wordsbehindyou.
"They wouldnot acceptmy counsel,They spurnedallmy reproof.
The one who despisesthe wordwill be in debtto it, But the one who fearsthe commandmentwill be rewarded.
Manyplansare in a man'sheart,But the counselof the LORDwill stand.
Thereis nowisdomand nounderstandingAnd nocounselagainstthe LORD.
A manwho hardens[his] neckafter much reproofWill suddenlybe brokenbeyondremedy.
And you say,"HowI have hatedinstruction!And my heartspurnedreproof!
"Takea scrolland writeon it allthe wordswhichI have spokento you concerningIsraeland concerningJudah,and concerningallthe nations,from the dayI [first] spoketo you, from the daysof Josiah,even to thisday.
Then the wordof the LORDcameto Jeremiahafterthe kinghad burnedthe scrolland the wordswhichBaruchhad writtenat the dictationof Jeremiah,saying,
"Takeagainanotherscrolland writeon it allthe formerwordsthat were on the firstscrollwhichJehoiakimthe kingof Judahburned.
and ifanyonetakesawayfrom the wordsof the bookof thisprophecy,Godwill take awayhis partfrom the treeof lifeand from the holycity,which are writtenin thisbook.
