Zedekiahkingof Judahand his officialsI will giveinto the handof their enemiesand into the handof those who seektheir life,and into the handof the armyof the kingof Babylonwhich has goneawayfrom you.
Then they capturedthe kingand broughthim to the kingof Babylonat Riblah,and he passedsentenceon him.
and I will giveyou over into the handof those who are seekingyour life,yes, into the handof those whomyou dread,even into the handof Nebuchadnezzarkingof Babylonand into the handof the Chaldeans.
becauseZedekiahkingof Judahhad shuthim up, saying,"Whydo you prophesy,saying,Thussaysthe LORD,"Behold,I am about to givethiscityinto the handof the kingof Babylon,and he will takeit;
and Zedekiahkingof Judahwill not escapeout of the handof the Chaldeans,but he will surelybe giveninto the handof the kingof Babylon,and he will speakwith him faceto faceand seehim eyeto eye;
Then the kingof Babylonslewthe sonsof Zedekiahbefore his eyesat Riblah;the kingof Babylonalso slewallthe noblesof Judah.
"Thussaysthe LORD,'Behold,I am going to giveover PharaohHophrakingof Egyptto the handof his enemies,to the handof those who seekhis life,justas I gaveover Zedekiahkingof Judahto the handof Nebuchadnezzarkingof Babylon,[who was] his enemyand was seekinghis life.'"
The kingof Babylonslaughteredthe sonsof Zedekiahbefore his eyes,and he alsoslaughteredallthe princesof Judahin Riblah.
But the armyof the Chaldeanspursuedthe kingand overtookZedekiahin the plainsof Jericho,and allhis armywas scatteredfrom him.
The breathof our nostrils,the LORD'Sanointed,Was capturedin their pits,Of whomwe had said,"Under his shadowWe shall liveamong the nations."
"Saynowto the rebellioushouse,Do you not knowwhatthesethings[mean]?' Say,'Behold,the kingof Babyloncameto Jerusalem,tookits kingand princesand broughtthem to him in Babylon.
As I live,'declaresthe LordGOD,'Surelyin the countryof the kingwho puthim on the throne,whoseoathhe despisedand whosecovenanthe broke,in Babylonhe shall die.
"I will spreadMy netoverhim, and he will be caughtin My snare.Then I will bringhim to Babylonand enterinto judgmentwith him there[regarding] the unfaithfulactwhichhe has committedagainst Me.
