Woeis me, becauseof my injury!My woundis incurable.But I said,"Trulythisis a sickness,And I must bearit."
"I have becomemute,I do not openmy mouth,Becauseit is You who have done[it].
Then I said,"It is my grief,That the righthandof the MostHighhas changed."
And I will waitfor the LORDwho is hidingHis facefrom the houseof Jacob;I will even lookeagerlyfor Him.
"You will saythiswordto them, 'Let my eyesflowdownwith tearsnightand day,And let them not cease; For the virgindaughterof my peoplehas been crushedwith a mightyblow,With a sorelyinfectedwound.
"Althoughour iniquitiestestifyagainst us, O LORD,actfor Your name'ssake!Trulyour apostasieshave beenmany,We have sinnedagainst You.

My soul,my soul!I am in anguish!Oh,my heart!My heartis poundingin me; I cannotbe silent,Becauseyou have heard,O my soul,The soundof the trumpet,The alarmof war.
For I hearda cryas of a woman in labor,The anguishas of one givingbirthto her firstchild,The cryof the daughterof Ziongaspingfor breath,Stretchingout her hands,[saying], "Ah,woeis me, for I faintbefore murderers."
For the brokennessof the daughterof my peopleI am broken;I mourn, dismayhas takenholdof me.
Ohthat my headwere watersAnd my eyesa fountainof tears,That I might weepdayand nightFor the slainof the daughterof my people!
She weepsbitterlyin the nightAnd her tearsare on her cheeks; She hasnoneto comforther Amongallher lovers.Allher friendshave dealttreacherouslywith her; They have becomeher enemies.
My eyesrundownwith streamsof waterBecauseof the destructionof the daughterof my people.
