Then the LORDsaidto me, "You have seenwell,for I am watchingoverMy wordto performit."
Sowill My wordbe whichgoesforthfrom My mouth;It will not returnto Me empty,WithoutaccomplishingwhatI desire,And without succeeding[in the matter] for whichI sentit.
The wordof the LORDcameto me a secondtimesaying,"Whatdo you see?"And I said,"I seea boilingpot,facingaway from the north."
Then the LORDsaidto me, "Whatdo you see,Jeremiah?"And I said,"Figs,the goodfigs,verygood;and the bad[figs], verybad,whichcannotbe eatendueto rottenness."
"As I have watchedoverthem to pluckup, to breakdown,to overthrow,to destroyand to bringdisaster,soI will watchoverthem to buildand to plant,"declaresthe LORD.
"For I the LORDwill speak,and whateverwordI speakwill be performed.It will nolongerbe delayed,for in your days,O rebellioushouse,I will speakthe wordand performit," declaresthe LordGOD.'"

And He saidto him, "You have answeredcorrectly;DOTHISAND YOU WILL LIVE."
Someof the scribesansweredand said,"Teacher,You have spokenwell."
