and the rich man[is to glory] in his humiliation,becauselikefloweringgrasshe will pass away.
For, "ALLFLESHIS LIKEGRASS,AND ALLITS GLORYLIKETHE FLOWEROF GRASS.THE GRASSWITHERS,AND THE FLOWERFALLS OFF,
The worldis passing away,and [also] its lusts;but the one who doesthe willof Godlivesforever.
"Like a flowerhe comesforthand withers.He also fleeslike a shadowand does not remain.
Instructthosewho are richin thispresentworldnot to be conceitedorto fix their hopeon the uncertaintyof riches,but on God,who richlysuppliesus with all thingsto enjoy.
"Blessedare the poorin spirit,for theirsis the kingdomof heaven.
and thosewho usethe world,as thoughthey did not make full useof it; for the formof thisworldis passing away.
As for man,his daysare like grass;As a flowerof the field,sohe flourishes.
Yetyou do not knowwhatyour lifewill be like tomorrow.You are [just] a vaporthat appearsfor a little whileand thenvanishes away.
"But ifGodsoclothesthe grassof the field,which is [alive] todayand tomorrowis throwninto the furnace,[will He] not muchmore[clothe] you? You of little faith!
"For My handmadeallthesethings,Thus allthesethingscameinto being,"declaresthe LORD."But to thisoneI will look,To him whois humbleand contriteof spirit,and whotremblesat My word.
A voicesays,"Callout." Then he answered,"Whatshall I callout?" Allfleshis grass,and allits lovelinessis like the flowerof the field.
More thanthat, I countallthingsto be lossin viewof the surpassing valueof knowingChristJesusmy Lord,for whomI have suffered the lossof all things,and countthem but rubbishsothat I may gainChrist,
For thussaysthe highand exaltedOne Who livesforever,whose nameis Holy,"I dwell[on] a highand holyplace, And [also] with the contriteand lowlyof spiritIn order to revivethe spiritof the lowlyAnd to revivethe heartof the contrite.
My daysare like a lengthenedshadow,And I witheraway like grass.
For they will witherquicklylike the grassAnd fadelike the greenherb.
"Surelyeverymanwalksabout as a phantom;Surelythey makean uproarfor nothing;He amasses[riches] and does not knowwhowill gatherthem.
The grasswithers,the flowerfades,Whenthe breathof the LORDblowsupon it; Surelythe peopleare grass.
