"I have troddenthe winetroughalone,And from the peoplestherewas nomanwith Me. I also trodthem in My angerAnd trampledthem in My wrath; And their lifebloodis sprinkledon My garments,And I stainedallMy raiment.
"He ties[his] foalto the vine,And his donkey'scoltto the choicevine; He washeshis garmentsin wine,And his robesin the bloodof grapes.
He said,"Throwher down."So they threwher down, and someof her bloodwas sprinkledon the walland on the horses, and he trampledher under foot.
"Lookon everyonewhois proud,[and] humblehim, And treaddownthe wickedwherethey stand.
Through Godwe shall dovaliantly,And it is He who will treaddownour adversaries.
For the LordGODof hostshas a dayof panic, subjugationand confusionIn the valleyof vision,A breakingdownof wallsAnd a cryingto the mountain.
For the handof the LORDwill reston thismountain,And Moabwill be troddendownin his placeAs strawis troddendownin the waterof a manurepile.
The proudcrownof the drunkardsof Ephraimis troddenunder foot.
He puton righteousnesslike a breastplate,And a helmetof salvationon His head; And He puton garmentsof vengeancefor clothingAnd wrappedHimself with zealas a mantle.
"I troddownthe peoplesin My angerAnd made them drunkin My wrath,And I pouredout their lifebloodon the earth."
"The Lordhas rejectedallmy strongmenIn my midst; He has calledan appointedtimeagainstme To crushmy youngmen; The Lordhas trodden[as in] a winepressThe virgindaughterof Judah.
Putin the sickle, for the harvestis ripe.Come, tread, for the winepressis full; The vatsoverflow, for their wickednessis great.
Then my enemywill see,And shamewill coverher who saidto me, "Whereis the LORDyour God?"My eyeswill lookon her; At that timeshe will be trampleddownLike mireof the streets.
"They will be as mightymen,Treadingdown[the enemy] in the mireof the streetsin battle; And they will fight, for the LORD[will be] with them; And the riderson horseswill be putto shame.
"You will treaddownthe wicked, for they will be ashesunderthe solesof your feeton the daywhichI am preparing,"saysthe LORDof hosts.
