I was gladwhen they saidto me, "Let us goto the houseof the LORD."
OnethingI have askedfrom the LORD,that I shall seek:That I may dwellin the houseof the LORDallthe daysof my life,To beholdthe beautyof the LORDAnd to meditatein His temple.
ThesethingsI rememberand I pourout my soulwithinme. For I used to goalongwith the throng[and] leadthem in processionto the houseof God,With the voiceof joyand thanksgiving,a multitudekeepingfestival.
For a dayin Your courtsis betterthana thousand[outside]. I would rather standat the thresholdof the houseof my GodThandwellin the tentsof wickedness.
My soullongedand evenyearnedfor the courtsof the LORD;My heartand my fleshsingfor joyto the livingGod.
"For sixdaysworkmay be done,but on the seventhdayyou shall havea holy[day], a sabbathof completerestto the LORD;whoeverdoesany workon it shall be putto death.
"You shall not kindlea firein anyof your dwellingson the sabbathday."

Transgressingand denyingthe LORD,And turningawayfrom our God,Speakingoppressionand revolt,Conceiving[in] and utteringfrom the heartlyingwords.
"In a disputethey shall taketheir standto judge;they shall judgeit according to My ordinances.They shall also keepMy lawsand My statutesin allMy appointedfeastsand sanctifyMy sabbaths.
Everyoneof you shall reverencehis motherand his father,and you shall keepMy sabbaths;I am the LORDyour God.
