For thussaysthe LORD,"To the eunuchswhokeepMy sabbaths,And choosewhatpleasesMe, And holdfastMy covenant,
"Trulyis not my housesowith God?For He has madean everlastingcovenantwith me, Orderedin allthings,and secured;For allmy salvationand all[my] desire,Will He not indeedmake [it] grow?
I have inheritedYour testimoniesforever,For they are the joyof my heart.
Allthe pathsof the LORDare lovingkindnessand truthTo those who keepHis covenantand His testimonies.
"Orlet him relyon My protection,Let him makepeacewith Me, Let him makepeacewith Me."
"Inclineyour earand cometo Me. Listen,that you may live;And I will makean everlastingcovenantwith you, [According to] the faithfulmerciesshown to David.
"How blessedis the manwho doesthis,And the sonof manwho takesholdof it; Who keepsfrom profaningthe sabbath,And keepshis handfrom doinganyevil."
"Also the foreignerswho jointhemselves to the LORD,To ministerto Him, and to lovethe nameof the LORD,To be His servants,everyonewho keepsfrom profaningthe sabbathAnd holdsfastMy covenant;
"Ifbecauseof the sabbath,you turnyour footFrom doingyour [own] pleasureon My holyday,And callthe sabbatha delight,the holy[day] of the LORDhonorable,And honorit, desistingfrom your [own] ways,From seekingyour [own] pleasureAnd speaking[your own] word,
"They will askfor the wayto Zion,[turning] their facesin its direction;they will comethat they may jointhemselves to the LORD[in] an everlastingcovenantthat will not be forgotten.
but [only] onethingis necessary,for Maryhas chosenthe goodpart,whichshall not be taken awayfrom her."
In the sameway God,desiringeven moreto showto the heirsof the promisethe unchangeablenessof His purpose,interposedwith an oath,
"Ifit is disagreeablein your sightto servethe LORD,choosefor yourselves todaywhomyou will serve:whetherthe godswhichyour fathersservedwhichwere beyondthe River,or the godsof the Amoritesin whoselandyou are living;but as for me and my house,we will servethe LORD."
