In thosedaysHezekiahbecamemortallyill.And Isaiahthe prophetthe sonof Amozcameto him and saidto him, "Thussaysthe LORD,Setyour housein order,for you shall dieand not live.'"
He said,"While the childwas [still] alive,I fastedand wept;for I said,Whoknows,the LORDmay be graciousto me, that the childmay live.'
Now whenAhithophelsawthat his counselwas not followed,he saddled[his] donkeyand aroseand wentto his home,to his city,and sethis housein order,and strangledhimself; thus he diedand was buriedin the graveof his father.
In thosedaysHezekiahbecamemortallyill;and he prayedto the LORD,and the LORD spoketo him and gavehim a sign.
Whateveryour handfindsto do,do[it] with [all] your might;for thereis noactivityor planningor knowledgeor wisdomin Sheolwhereyou are going.
The visionof Isaiahthe sonof AmozconcerningJudahand Jerusalem,whichhe sawduring the reignsof Uzziah,Jotham,Ahaz[and] Hezekiah,kingsof Judah.
Then he sentEliakimwhowas overthe householdwith Shebnathe scribeand the eldersof the priests,coveredwith sackcloth,to Isaiahthe prophet,the sonof Amoz.
Then Isaiahthe sonof Amozsent[word] to Hezekiah,saying,"Thussaysthe LORD,the Godof Israel,'Becauseyou have prayedto Me aboutSennacheribkingof Assyria,
When Godsawtheir deeds,that they turnedfrom their wickedway,then Godrelentedconcerningthe calamitywhichHe had declaredHe would bringupon them. And He did not do[it].
Then Jonahbeganto gothrough the cityoneday'swalk;and he criedout and said,"Yetfortydaysand Ninevehwill be overthrown."
And it happenedat that timethat she fell sickand died;and when they had washedher body, they laidit in an upper room.
