Whenthe camelshad finisheddrinking,the mantooka goldringweighinga half-shekeland twobraceletsfor her wristsweighingtenshekels in gold,
When he sawthe ringand the braceletson his sister'swrists,and when he heardthe wordsof Rebekahhis sister,saying,"Thisis whatthe mansaidto me," he wentto the man;and behold,he was standingby the camelsat the spring.
The servantbroughtout articlesof silverand articlesof gold,and garments,and gavethem to Rebekah;he also gavepreciousthingsto her brotherand to her mother.
So they gaveto Jacoballthe foreigngodswhichthey hadand the ringswhichwere in their ears,and Jacobhidthem underthe oakwhichwas nearShechem.
He said,"Whatpledgeshall I giveyou?" And she said,"Your sealand your cord,and your staffthat is in your hand."So he gave[them] to her and wentin to her, and she conceivedby him.
It was while she was being broughtout that she sentto her father-in-law,saying,"I am with childby the manto whomthesethingsbelong." And she said,"Pleaseexamineand see,whosesignetringand cordsand staffare these?"
Aaronsaidto them, "Tearoffthe goldringswhichare in the earsof your wives,your sons,and your daughters,and bring[them] to me."
Then allthe peopletoreoffthe goldringswhichwere in their earsand brought[them] to Aaron.
Then allwhose heartsmovedthem, both menand women,came[and] broughtbroochesand earringsand signetringsand bracelets,allarticlesof gold;so [did] everymanwhopresentedan offeringof goldto the LORD.
In that daythe Lordwill takeawaythe beautyof [their] anklets,headbands,crescentornaments,
headdresses,anklechains,sashes,perfumeboxes,amulets,
"I adornedyou with ornaments,putbraceletson your handsand a necklacearoundyour neck.
"I also puta ringin your nostril,earringsin your earsand a beautifulcrownon your head.
"So we have broughtas an offeringto the LORDwhateachmanfound,articlesof gold,armletsand bracelets,signetrings,earringsand necklaces,to makeatonementfor ourselvesbeforethe LORD."
