In that daythere will be an altarto the LORDin the midstof the landof Egypt,and a pillarto the LORDnearits border.
The LORDappearedto Abramand said,"To your descendantsI will givethisland."So he builtan altarthereto the LORDwho had appearedto him.
So Jacobroseearlyin the morning,and tookthe stonethat he had putunder his headand setit up as a pillarand pouredoilon its top.
Envoyswill comeout of Egypt;Ethiopiawill quicklystretchout her handsto God.
Moseswrotedownallthe wordsof the LORD.Then he aroseearlyin the morning,and builtan altarat the footof the mountainwith twelvepillarsfor the twelvetribesof Israel.
Even those I will bringto My holymountainAnd makethem joyfulin My houseof prayer.Their burntofferingsand their sacrificeswill be acceptableon My altar;For My housewill be calleda houseof prayerfor allthe peoples."

"Those whoare faroff will comeand buildthe templeof the LORD."Then you will knowthat the LORDof hostshas sentme to you. And it will takeplaceifyou completelyobeythe LORDyour God.
We havean altarfrom whichthosewho servethe tabernaclehavenorightto eat.
When they cameto the regionof the Jordanwhichis in the landof Canaan,the sonsof Reubenand the sonsof Gadand the half-tribeof Manassehbuiltan altarthereby the Jordan,a largealtarin appearance.
"Therefore we said,Let us buildan altar,not for burntofferingor for sacrifice;
ratherit shall be a witnessbetweenus and you and betweenour generationsafterus, that we are to performthe serviceof the LORDbeforeHim with our burntofferings,and with our sacrificesand with our peaceofferings,sothat your sonswill not sayto our sonsin timeto come,"You havenoportionin the LORD."'
"Therefore we said,'It shall also comeabout ifthey say[this] to us or to our generationsin timeto come,then we shall say,"Seethe copyof the altarof the LORDwhichour fathersmade,not for burntofferingor for sacrifice;ratherit is a witnessbetweenus and you."'
The sonsof Reubenand the sonsof Gadcalledthe altar[Witness]; "For," [they said], "it is a witnessbetweenus that the LORDis God."
