In that daythe Egyptianswill becomelike women,and they will trembleand be in dreadbecauseof the wavingof the handof the LORDof hosts,whichHe is going to waveoverthem.
Behold,your peopleare womenin your midst!The gatesof your landare openedwideto your enemies;Fireconsumesyour gate bars.
The mightymenof Babylonhave ceasedfighting,They stayin the strongholds;Their strengthis exhausted,They are becoming[like] women;Their dwellingplacesare seton fire,The barsof her [gates] are broken.
"A swordagainsttheir horsesand againsttheir chariotsAnd againstallthe foreignerswhoare in the midstof her, And they will becomewomen!A swordagainsther treasures,and they will be plundered!
And the LORDwill utterlydestroyThe tongueof the Seaof Egypt;And He will waveHis handoverthe RiverWith His scorchingwind;And He will strikeit into sevenstreamsAnd make [men] walkover dry-shod.
"For behold,I will waveMy handoverthem so that they will be plunderfor their slaves.Then you will knowthat the LORDof hostshas sentMe.
Yettodayhe will haltat Nob;He shakeshis fistat the mountainof the daughterof Zion,the hillof Jerusalem.
It is a terrifying thingto fallinto the handsof the livingGod.
Onethousand[will flee] at the threatof one[man]; You will fleeat the threatof five,Untilyou are leftas a flagon a mountaintopAnd as a signalon a hill.
Panicseizedthem there,Anguish,as of a woman in childbirth.
I was with you in weaknessand in fearand in muchtrembling,
Therefore,knowingthe fearof the Lord,we persuademen,but we are mademanifestto God;and I hopethat we are made manifestalsoin your consciences.
Liftup a standardon the barehill,Raiseyour voiceto them, Wavethe handthat they may enterthe doorsof the nobles.
Moreover, there shall be a greatcryin allthe landof Egypt,suchas there has not been[before] and suchas shall neverbe again.
"Then your mightymenwill be dismayed,O Teman,So that everyonemay be cutofffrom the mountainof Esauby slaughter.
"Be silent,allflesh,beforethe LORD;for He is arousedfrom His holyhabitation."
"And they will passthrough the sea[of] distressAnd He will strikethe wavesin the sea,So that allthe depthsof the Nilewill dryup; And the prideof Assyriawill be broughtdownAnd the scepterof Egyptwill depart.
