"O mountainsof Gilboa,Let not dewor rainbe on you, norfieldsof offerings;For therethe shieldof the mightywas defiled,The shieldof Saul,not anointedwith oil.
Yet it does not sointend,Nordoes it plansoin its heart,But ratherit is its purposeto destroyAnd to cutoffmanynations.
Heshbonand Elealehalso cryout, Their voiceis heardallthe wayto Jahaz;Thereforethe armedmen of Moabcryaloud;His soultrembleswithin him.
ThereforeI will weepbitterlyfor Jazer,for the vineof Sibmah;I will drenchyou with my tears,O Heshbonand Elealeh;For the shoutingoveryour summerfruitsand your harvesthas fallenaway.
The newwinemourns,The vinedecays,Allthe merry-heartedsigh.
"Morethanthe weepingfor JazerI will weepfor you, O vineof Sibmah!Your tendrilsstretchedacrossthe sea,They reachedto the seaof Jazer;Upon your summerfruitsand your grapeharvestThe destroyerhas fallen.
Mosessentto spyout Jazer,and they capturedits villagesand dispossessedthe Amoriteswho[were] there.
"Ataroth,Dibon,Jazer,Nimrah,Heshbon,Elealeh,Sebam,Neboand Beon,
and Atroth-shophanand Jazerand Jogbehah,
and Neboand Baal-meon--[their] namesbeing changed--and Sibmah,and they gave[other] namesto the citieswhichthey built.
and Kiriathaimand Sibmahand Zereth-shaharon the hillof the valley,
Their territorywas Jazer,and allthe citiesof Gilead,and halfthe landof the sonsof Ammon,as faras Aroerwhichis beforeRabbah;
