havinga goldenaltar of incenseand the arkof the covenantcoveredon all sideswith gold,in whichwas a goldenjarholdingthe manna,and Aaron'srodwhich budded,and the tablesof the covenant;
and the cupsand the snuffersand the bowlsand the spoonsand the firepans,of puregold;and the hingesboth for the doorsof the innerhouse,the mostholyplace,[and] for the doorsof the house,[that is], of the nave,of gold.
"ThereI have seta placefor the ark,in whichis the covenantof the LORD,whichHe madewith our fatherswhen He broughtthem from the landof Egypt."

When He had finishedspeakingwith him upon MountSinai,He gaveMosesthe twotabletsof the testimony,tabletsof stone,writtenby the fingerof God.
Then Mosesturnedand wentdownfrom the mountainwith the twotabletsof the testimonyin his hand,tabletswhich were writtenon bothsides;they were writtenon one[side] and the other.
It cameabout when Moseswas comingdownfrom MountSinai(and the twotabletsof the testimony[were] in Moses'handas he was comingdownfrom the mountain),that Mosesdid not knowthat the skinof his faceshonebecause of his speakingwith Him.
Then he madethe altarof incenseof acaciawood:a cubitlongand a cubitwide,square,and two cubitshigh;its hornswere [of one piece] with it.

"You shall placethe arkof the testimonythere,and you shall screenthe arkwith the veil.
"He shall takea firepanfullof coalsof firefrom upon the altarbeforethe LORDand two handfulsof finelygroundsweetincense,and bring[it] insidethe veil.
But the LORDsaidto Moses,"Putbackthe rodof Aaronbeforethe testimonyto be keptas a signagainst the rebels,that you may putan endto their grumblingsagainstMe, so that they will not die."
"It will comeabout that the rodof the manwhomI choosewill sprout.Thus I will lessenfrom upon Myself the grumblingsof the sonsof Israel,whoare grumblingagainstyou."
Now on the nextdayMoseswentinto the tentof the testimony;and behold,the rodof Aaronfor the houseof Levihad sproutedand putforthbudsand producedblossoms,and it boreripealmonds.
"It cameabout at the endof fortydaysand nightsthat the LORDgaveme the twotabletsof stone,the tabletsof the covenant.
"When I wentup to the mountainto receivethe tabletsof stone,the tabletsof the covenantwhichthe LORDhad madewith you, then I remainedon the mountainfortydaysand nights;I neitheratebreadnordrankwater.
And the templeof Godwhich is in heavenwas opened;and the arkof His covenantappearedin His temple,and there were flashes of lightningand soundsand peals of thunderand an earthquakeand a greathailstorm.
Anotherangelcameand stoodat the altar,holdinga goldencenser;and muchincensewas givento him, sothat he might addit to the prayersof allthe saintson the goldenaltarwhich was beforethe throne.
