"I myselfwill be suretyfor him; you may holdme responsiblefor him. IfI do not bringhim [back] to you and sethim beforeyou, then let me bearthe blamebefore you forever.
"For your servantbecamesuretyfor the ladto my father,saying,'IfI do not bringhim [back] to you, then let me bearthe blamebefore my fatherforever.'
Be suretyfor Your servantfor good;Do not let the arrogantoppressme.
Takehis garmentwhenhe becomessuretyfor a stranger;And for foreigners,holdhim in pledge.
My son,ifyou have becomesuretyfor your neighbor,Have givena pledgefor a stranger,
"Like a swallow,[like] a crane,soI twitter;I moanlike a dove;My eyeslookwistfullyto the heights;O Lord,I am oppressed,be my security.
"And he will makea firmcovenantwith the manyfor oneweek,but in the middleof the weekhe will puta stopto sacrificeand grain offering;and on the wingof abominations[will come] one who makesdesolate,even untila completedestruction,one that is decreed,is pouredout on the one who makesdesolate."
for thisis My bloodof the covenant,which is pouredout for manyfor forgivenessof sins.
And He saidto them, "Thisis My bloodof the covenant,whichis pouredout for many.
And in the same way[He took] the cupafterthey had eaten,saying,"Thiscupwhich is pouredout for you is the newcovenantin My blood.
In the same way[He took] the cupalsoaftersupper,saying,"Thiscupis the newcovenantin My blood;dothis,as oftenas you drink[it], in remembranceof Me."
and to Jesus,the mediatorof a newcovenant,and to the sprinkledblood,which speaksbetterthan[the blood] of Abel.
Nowthe Godof peace,who broughtup from the deadthe greatShepherdof the sheepthroughthe bloodof the eternalcovenant,[even] Jesusour Lord,
The [former] priests,on the one hand,existedin greater numbersbecausethey were preventedby deathfrom continuing,
WhenHe said,"A new[covenant]," He has madethe firstobsolete. But whatever is becoming obsoleteand growing oldis readyto disappear.
