of instructionabout washingsand layingon of hands,and the resurrectionof the deadand eternaljudgment.
For Godwill bringeveryactto judgment,everythingwhich is hidden,whetherit is goodor evil.
Your deadwill live;Their corpseswill rise.You who liein the dust,awakeand shoutfor joy,For your dew[is as] the dewof the dawn,And the earthwill givebirthto the departedspirits.
"Manyof those whosleepin the dustof the groundwill awake,theseto everlastinglife,but the othersto disgrace[and] everlastingcontempt.
"Gothereforeand make disciplesof allthe nations,baptizingthem in the nameof the Fatherand the Sonand the HolySpirit,
But Johntried to preventHim, saying,"I haveneedto be baptizedby You, and do You cometo me?"
"He who has believedand has been baptizedshall be saved;but he who has disbelievedshall be condemned.
and [when they come] from the market place,they do not eatunlessthey cleansethemselves; and there are manyotherthingswhichthey have receivedin order to observe,such as the washingof cupsand pitchersand copper pots.)
"Neglectingthe commandmentof God,you holdto the traditionof men."
When the Phariseesawit, he was surprisedthat He had not firstceremonially washedbeforethe meal.
"But I havea baptismto undergo,and howdistressedI am untilit is accomplished!
and you will be blessed,sincethey do not have[the means] to repayyou; for you will be repaidat the resurrectionof the righteous."
Johnansweredand saidto them all,"As for me, I baptizeyou with water;but One is comingwho is mightierthan I, and I amnot fitto untiethe thongof His sandals;He will baptizeyou with the HolySpiritand fire.
"I did not recognizeHim, but He who sentme to baptizein watersaidto me, 'He upon whomyou seethe Spiritdescendingand remainingupon Him, thisis the One who baptizesin the HolySpirit.'
and will come forth;thosewho didthe good[deeds] to a resurrectionof life,thosewho committedthe evil[deeds] to a resurrectionof judgment.
"Surely noonecanrefusethe waterfor theseto be baptizedwhohave receivedthe HolySpiritjustas we [did], can he?"
Then,when they had fastedand prayedand laidtheir handson them, they sent them away.
And whenshe and her householdhad been baptized,she urgedus, saying,"Ifyou have judgedme to be faithfulto the Lord,comeinto my houseand stay."And she prevailedupon us.
And he tookthem that [very] hourof the nightand washedtheir wounds,and immediatelyhe was baptized,he and allhis [household].
And alsosomeof the Epicureanand Stoicphilosopherswere conversingwith him. Somewere saying,"Whatwould thisidle babblerwishto say?"Others,"He seemsto be a proclaimerof strangedeities,"--becausehe was preachingJesusand the resurrection.
Peter[said] to them, "Repent,and eachof you be baptizedin the nameof JesusChristfor the forgivenessof your sins;and you will receivethe giftof the HolySpirit.
So then,thosewho had receivedhis wordwere baptized;and that daythere were addedaboutthree thousandsouls.
But perceivingthat onegroupwere Sadduceesand the otherPharisees,Paul[began] cryingout in the Council,"Brethren,I ama Pharisee,a sonof Pharisees;I am on trialfor the hopeand resurrectionof the dead!"
havinga hopein God,whichthese mencherishthemselves,that there shall certainlybe a resurrectionof boththe righteousand the wicked.

But as he was discussingrighteousness,self-controland the judgmentto come,Felixbecamefrightenedand said,"Go awayfor the present,and when I findtimeI will summonyou."
"Whyis it consideredincredibleamongyou [people] ifGoddoes raisethe dead?
being greatly disturbedbecausethey were teachingthe peopleand proclaimingin Jesusthe resurrectionfrom the dead.
And thesethey broughtbeforethe apostles;and after praying,they laidtheir handson them.
on the daywhen,accordingto my gospel,Godwill judgethe secretsof menthroughChristJesus.
and allwere baptizedinto Mosesin the cloudand in the sea;
For by oneSpiritwe were allbaptizedinto onebody,whetherJewsorGreeks,whetherslavesorfree,and we were allmade to drinkof oneSpirit.
For we mustallappearbeforethe judgment seatof Christ,sothat each onemay be recompensedfor his deeds in the body,accordingto whathe has done,whethergoodorbad.
whowill transformthe bodyof our humble stateinto conformitywith the bodyof His glory,by the exertionof the power that He hasevento subjectall thingsto Himself.
having been buriedwith Him in baptism,in whichyou were alsoraisedup with Him throughfaithin the workingof God,who raisedHim from the dead.
[men] whohave gone astrayfrom the truthsayingthat the resurrectionhas alreadytaken place,and they upsetthe faithof some.
Womenreceived[back] their deadby resurrection;and otherswere tortured,not acceptingtheir release,sothat they might obtaina betterresurrection;
since they [relate] onlyto foodand drinkand variouswashings,regulationsfor the bodyimposeduntila timeof reformation.
But by His wordthe presentheavensand earthare being reservedfor fire,keptfor the dayof judgmentand destructionof ungodlymen.
