"TakeAaronand his sonswith him, and the garmentsand the anointingoiland the bullof the sinoffering,and the tworamsand the basketof unleavenedbread,
Mosesthen saidto Aaron,"Comenearto the altarand offeryour sinofferingand your burntoffering,that you may makeatonementfor yourself and for the people;then makethe offeringfor the people,that you may makeatonementfor them, justas the LORDhas commanded."
Thereforein ChristJesusI havefound reason for boastingin things pertainingto God.
For I deliveredto you as of first importancewhatI alsoreceived,that Christdiedfor our sinsaccordingto the Scriptures,
Everyprieststandsdailyministeringand offeringtime after timethe samesacrifices,whichcannevertake awaysins;
but He, having offeredonesacrificefor sinsfor all time,SAT DOWNAT THE RIGHT HANDOF GOD,
By faithAbelofferedto Goda bettersacrificethanCain,throughwhichhe obtainedthe testimonythat he was righteous,Godtestifyingabouthis gifts,and throughfaith, though he is dead,he stillspeaks.
Therefore,He hadto be made likeHis brethrenin all things,sothat He might becomea mercifuland faithfulhigh priestin things pertainingto God,to make propitiationfor the sinsof the people.
whodoes not needdaily,likethosehigh priests,to offerup sacrifices,firstfor His ownsinsand thenfor the [sins] of the people,becausethisHe didonce for allwhen He offeredup Himself.
For everyhigh priestis appointedto offerbothgiftsand sacrifices;soit is necessarythat this[high priest] alsohavesomethingto offer.
NowifHe were on earth,He would not be a priestat all,since there are thosewho offerthe giftsaccordingto the Law;
which[is] a symbolfor the presenttime.Accordinglybothgiftsand sacrificesare offeredwhich cannotmakethe worshiperperfectin conscience,
