On that day,'declaresthe LORDof hosts,'I will takeyou, Zerubbabel,sonof Shealtiel,My servant,'declaresthe LORD,'and I will makeyou like a signet[ring], for I have chosenyou,'" declaresthe LORDof hosts.
By awesome[deeds] You answerus in righteousness,O Godof our salvation,You whoare the trustof allthe endsof the earthand of the farthestsea;
"Putme like a sealoveryour heart,Like a sealon your arm.For loveis as strongas death,Jealousyis as severeas Sheol;Its flashesare flashesof fire,The [very] flameof the LORD.
"Behold,My Servant,whom I uphold;My chosenone [in whom] My souldelights.I have putMy Spiritupon Him; He will bringforthjusticeto the nations.
"You are My witnesses,"declaresthe LORD,"And My servantwhomI have chosen,So that you may knowand believeMe And understandthat I am He. BeforeMe there was noGodformed,And there will be noneafterMe.
"Behold,I have inscribedyou on the palms[of My hands]; Your wallsare continuallybeforeMe.
"As I live,"declaresthe LORD,"eventhoughConiahthe sonof Jehoiakimkingof Judahwere a signet[ring] on My righthand,yetI would pullyou off;
"BEHOLD,MY SERVANTWHOMI HAVE CHOSEN;MY BELOVEDIN WHOMMY SOULis WELL-PLEASED;I WILL PUTMY SPIRITUPON HIM, AND HE SHALL PROCLAIMJUSTICETO THE GENTILES.
"Do not workfor the foodwhich perishes,but for the foodwhich enduresto eternallife,whichthe Sonof Manwill giveto you, for on Him the Father,God,has set His seal."
Nevertheless,the firmfoundationof Godstands,havingthisseal,"The Lordknowsthosewho are His," and, "Everyonewho namesthe nameof the Lordis to abstainfrom wickedness."
And comingto Him as to a livingstonewhich has been rejectedby men,but is choiceand preciousin the sightof God,
