[His] radianceis like the sunlight;He has rays[flashing] from His hand,And thereis the hidingof His power.
"And with a pillarof cloudYou ledthem by day,And with a pillarof fireby nightTo lightfor them the wayIn whichthey were to go.
"Behold,theseare the fringesof His ways;And howfainta wordwe hearof Him! But His mightythunder,whocan understand?"
CoveringYourself with lightas with a cloak,Stretchingout heavenlike a [tent] curtain.
From the brightnessbeforeHim passedHis thickclouds,Hailstonesand coalsof fire.
The LORDwas goingbeforethem in a pillarof cloudby dayto leadthem on the way,and in a pillarof fireby nightto givethem light,that they might travelby dayand by night.
So it camebetweenthe campof Egyptand the campof Israel;and there was the cloudalong with the darkness,yet it gavelightat night.Thus the onedid not comenearthe otherallnight.
The nameof the LORDis a strongtower;The righteousrunsinto it and is safe.
Then I noticedfrom the appearanceof His loinsand upwardsomethinglike glowingmetalthat lookedlike fireallaroundwithinit, and from the appearanceof His loinsand downwardI sawsomethinglike fire;and [there was] a radiancearoundHim.
and behold,the gloryof the Godof Israelwas comingfrom the wayof the east.And His voicewas like the soundof manywaters;and the earthshonewith His glory.
And He was transfiguredbeforethem; and His faceshonelikethe sun,and His garmentsbecameas whiteas light.
who alonepossessesimmortalityand dwellsin unapproachablelight,whomnomanhas seenorcansee.To Him [be] honorand eternaldominion!Amen.
And the cityhasnoneedof the sunorof the moonto shineon it, for the gloryof Godhas illuminedit, and its lamp[is] the Lamb.
And there will nolongerbe [any] night;and they will not haveneedof the lightof a lampnorthe lightof the sun,becausethe LordGodwill illuminethem; and they will reignforeverand ever.
