"Reuben,you are my firstborn;My mightand the beginningof my strength,Preeminentin dignityand preeminentin power.

Now in chargeof the tribesof Israel:chiefofficerfor the Reubeniteswas Eliezerthe sonof Zichri;for the Simeonites,Shephatiahthe sonof Maacah;

"Now those who campon the eastsidetoward the sunrise[shall be] of the standardof the campof Judah,by their armies,and the leaderof the sonsof Judah:Nahshonthe sonof Amminadab,
Reuben,Israel'sfirstborn,the sonsof Reuben:[of] Hanoch,the familyof the Hanochites;of Pallu,the familyof the Palluites;
"Theseare the namesof the men:of the tribeof Judah,Calebthe sonof Jephunneh.
Now the one who presentedhis offeringon the firstdaywas Nahshonthe sonof Amminadab,of the tribeof Judah;
"And He gavehim the covenantof circumcision;and so[Abraham] became the fatherof Isaac,and circumcisedhim on the eighthday;and Isaac[became the father of] Jacob,and Jacob[of] the twelvepatriarchs.
Mosesalso chargedthe peopleon that day,saying,
"May Reubenliveand not die,Norhis menbe few."
So Mosesgave[an inheritance] to the tribeof the sonsof Reubenaccording to their families.
Now the lotfor the tribeof the sonsof Judahaccording to their familiesreachedthe borderof Edom,southwardto the wildernessof Zinat the extremesouth.
Then the secondlotfellto Simeon,to the tribeof the sonsof Simeonaccording to their families,and their inheritancewas in the midstof the inheritanceof the sonsof Judah.
Now the thirdlotcameup for the sonsof Zebulunaccording to their families.And the territoryof their inheritancewas as faras Sarid.
The fourthlotfellto Issachar,to the sonsof Issacharaccording to their families.
from the tribeof Simeontwelvethousand,from the tribeof Levitwelvethousand,from the tribeof Issachartwelvethousand,
"From Ephraimthose whose rootis in Amalek[came down], Followingyou, Benjamin,with your peoples;From Machircommanderscamedown,And from Zebulunthose who wieldthe staffof office.
"And the princesof Issachar[were] with Deborah;As [was] Issachar,so[was] Barak;Into the valleythey rushedat his heels;Among the divisionsof Reuben[There were] greatresolvesof heart.
"Zebulun[was] a peoplewho despisedtheir lives[even] to death,And Naphtalialso, on the highplacesof the field.
Allthe peoplewhowere in the court,and the elders,said,"[We are] witnesses.May the LORDmakethe womanwho is cominginto your homelike Racheland Leah,bothof whombuiltthe houseof Israel;and may you achievewealthin Ephrathahand becomefamousin Bethlehem.
