Now Rebekahhad a brotherwhose namewas Laban;and Labanranoutsideto the manat the spring.
but you will goto my countryand to my relatives,and takea wifefor my sonIsaac."
Then Labanand Bethuelreplied,"The mattercomesfrom the LORD;[so] we cannotspeakto you badorgood.
and Isaacwas fortyyearsoldwhen he tookRebekah,the daughterof Bethuelthe Arameanof Paddan-aram,the sisterof Labanthe Aramean,to be his wife.
Then IsaacsentJacobaway,and he wentto Paddan-aramto Laban,sonof Bethuelthe Aramean,the brotherof Rebekah,the motherof Jacoband Esau.
Then Jacobwenton his journey,and cameto the landof the sonsof the east.
and he droveawayallhis livestockand allhis propertywhichhe had gathered,his acquiredlivestockwhichhe had gatheredin Paddan-aram,to goto the landof Canaanto his fatherIsaac.
I am unworthyof allthe lovingkindnessand of allthe faithfulnesswhichYou have shownto Your servant;for with my staff[only] I crossedthisJordan,and nowI have becometwocompanies.
Now Jacobcamesafelyto the cityof Shechem,whichis in the landof Canaan,when he camefrom Paddan-aram,and campedbeforethe city.
Then Godappearedto Jacobagainwhen he camefrom Paddan-aram,and He blessedhim.
Theseare the sonsof Leah,whomshe boreto Jacobin Paddan-aram,with his daughterDinah;allhis sonsand his daughters[numbered] thirty-three.
Now Jacobfledto the landof Aram,And Israelworkedfor a wife,And for a wifehe kept[sheep].
But by a prophetthe LORDbroughtIsraelfrom Egypt,And by a prophethe was kept.
