Then he proceededfrom thereto the mountainon the eastof Bethel,and pitchedhis tent,with Bethelon the westand Aion the east;and therehe builtan altarto the LORDand calledupon the nameof the LORD.
So they madea covenantat Beersheba;and Abimelechand Phicol,the commanderof his army,aroseand returnedto the landof the Philistines.
Then he wentup from thereto Beersheba.
So he builtan altarthereand calledupon the nameof the LORD,and pitchedhis tentthere;and thereIsaac'sservantsduga well.
So he calledit Shibah;thereforethe nameof the cityis Beershebato thisday.
To Seth,to him alsoa sonwas born;and he calledhis nameEnosh.Then[men] beganto callupon the nameof the LORD.
Beforethe mountainswere bornOr You gavebirthto the earthand the world,Even from everlastingto everlasting,You are God.
Your throneis establishedfrom of old;You are from everlasting.
"The LORDshall reignforeverand ever."
Do you not know?Have you not heard?The EverlastingGod,the LORD,the Creatorof the endsof the earthDoes not becomewearyor tired.His understandingis inscrutable.
For thussaysthe highand exaltedOne Who livesforever,whose nameis Holy,"I dwell[on] a highand holyplace, And [also] with the contriteand lowlyof spiritIn order to revivethe spiritof the lowlyAnd to revivethe heartof the contrite.
But the LORDis the true God;He is the livingGodand the everlastingKing.At His wraththe earthquakes,And the nationscannotendureHis indignation.
"[As for] those who swearby the guiltof Samaria,Who say,'As your godlives,O Dan,'And, 'As the wayof Beershebalives,'They will falland not riseagain."
Are You not from everlasting,O LORD,my God,my HolyOne?We will not die.You, O LORD,have appointedthem to judge;And You, O Rock,have establishedthem to correct.
For sincethe creationof the worldHis invisibleattributes, His eternalpowerand divine nature,have been clearly seen,being understoodthrough what has been made,sothat they are without excuse.
but nowis manifested,and by the Scripturesof the prophets,accordingto the commandmentof the eternalGod,has been made knownto allthe nations,[leading] to obedienceof faith;
"You shall not plantfor yourself an Asherahof anykind of treebesidethe altarof the LORDyour God,whichyou shall makefor yourself.
Indeed,I liftup My handto heaven,And say,as I liveforever,
"The eternalGodis a dwellingplace,And underneathare the everlastingarms;And He droveout the enemyfrom beforeyou, And said,'Destroy!'
Nowto the Kingeternal,immortal,invisible,the onlyGod,[be] honorand gloryforeverand ever.Amen.
JesusChrist[is] the sameyesterdayand todayand forever.
