The LORDsaid,"Behold,they are onepeople,and they allhave the samelanguage.And thisis what they beganto do,and nownothingwhichthey purposeto dowill be impossiblefor them.
Now the wholeearthusedthe samelanguageand the samewords.
Then the LORDGodsaid,"Behold,the manhas becomelike oneof Us, knowinggoodand evil;and now,he mightstretchout his hand,and takealsofrom the treeof life,and eat,and liveforever"--
Then the LORDsawthat the wickednessof manwas greaton the earth,and that everyintentof the thoughtsof his heartwas onlyevilcontinually.
The LORDsmelledthe soothingaroma;and the LORDsaidto Himself,"I will neveragaincursethe groundon accountof man,for the intentof man'sheartis evilfrom his youth;and I will neveragaindestroyeverylivingthing,as I have done.
Thesethree[were] the sonsof Noah,and from thesethe wholeearthwas populated.
It cameabout at noon,that Elijahmockedthem and said,"Callout with a loudvoice,for he is a god;eitherhe is occupiedor goneaside,or is on a journey,or perhapshe is asleepand needs to be awakened."
Rejoice,youngman,during your childhood,and let your heartbe pleasantduring the daysof youngmanhood.And followthe impulsesof your heartand the desiresof your eyes.Yet knowthat Godwill bringyou to judgmentfor allthesethings.
"Furthermore,I withheldthe rainfrom you While [there were] stillthreemonthsuntil harvest.Then I would sendrainon onecityAnd on anothercityI would not sendrain;Onepartwould be rainedon, While the partnot rainedon would dryup.
"He has donemighty deedswith His arm;He has scattered[those who were] proudin the thoughtsof their heart.
and He madefrom one[man] everynationof mankindto liveon allthe faceof the earth,having determined[their] appointedtimesand the boundariesof their habitation,
"Goand cryout to the godswhichyou have chosen;let them deliveryou in the timeof your distress."
