"Judahhas dealttreacherously,and an abominationhas been committedin Israeland in Jerusalem;for Judahhas profanedthe sanctuaryof the LORDwhichHe lovesand has marriedthe daughterof a foreigngod.

"You shall be holymento Me, therefore you shall not eat[any] fleshtornto pieces in the field;you shall throwit to the dogs.
and you shall be to Me a kingdomof priestsand a holynation.'Theseare the wordsthat you shall speakto the sonsof Israel."
Do not be bound togetherwith unbelievers;for whatpartnershiphave righteousnessand lawlessness,orwhatfellowshiphas lightwith darkness?

So nowdo not giveyour daughtersto their sonsnortaketheir daughtersto your sons,and neverseektheir peaceor their prosperity,that you may be strongand eatthe good[things] of the landand leave[it] as an inheritanceto your sonsforever.'
shall we againbreakYour commandmentsand intermarrywith the peopleswho commit theseabominations?Would You not be angrywith us to the pointof destruction,untilthereis noremnantnorany who escape?
so that he will not profanehis offspringamong his people;for I am the LORDwho sanctifieshim.'"
