He saidto me, "Sonof man,feedyour stomachand fillyour bodywith thisscrollwhichI am givingyou." Then I ateit, and it was sweetas honeyin my mouth.
"I have not departedfrom the commandof His lips;I have treasuredthe wordsof His mouthmorethanmy necessaryfood.
Howsweetare Your wordsto my taste![Yes, sweeter] thanhoneyto my mouth!
Your wordI have treasuredin my heart,That I may not sinagainst You.
O howI loveYour law!It is my meditationallthe day.
They are moredesirablethangold,yes, thanmuchfinegold;Sweeteralso thanhoneyand the drippingsof the honeycomb.
Moreover,by them Your servantis warned;In keepingthem there is greatreward.
Your wordswere foundand I atethem, And Your wordsbecamefor me a joyand the delightof my heart;For I have been calledby Your name,O LORDGodof hosts.
But if I say,"I will not rememberHim Or speakanymorein His name,"Then in my heartit becomeslike a burningfireShutup in my bones;And I am wearyof holding[it] in, And I cannotendure[it].
But I am fullof the wrathof the LORD;I am wearywith holding[it] in. "Pour[it] out on the childrenin the streetAnd on the gatheringof youngmentogether;For bothhusbandand wifeshall be taken,The agedand the veryold.
When He spreadit out beforeme, it was writtenon the frontand back,and writtenon it were lamentations,mourningand woe.
"Now you, sonof man,listento whatI am speakingto you; do not be rebelliouslike that rebellioushouse.Openyour mouthand eatwhatI am givingyou."
Then He saidto me, "Sonof man,goto the houseof Israeland speakwith My wordsto them.
"He who believesin Me, as the Scripturesaid,From his innermost beingwill flowriversof livingwater.'"
Let the wordof Christrichlydwellwithinyou, with allwisdomteachingand admonishingone anotherwith psalms[and] hymns[and] spiritualsongs,singingwith thankfulnessin your heartsto God.
