Mosesstretchedout his stafftowardthe sky,and the LORDsentthunderand hail,and firerandown to the earth.And the LORDrainedhailon the landof Egypt.
Then the LORDrainedon Sodomand Gomorrahbrimstoneand firefrom the LORDout of heaven,
"Whetherfor correction,orfor His world,Orfor lovingkindness,He causes it to happen.
He castsforth His iceas fragments;Whocan standbeforeHis cold?
Fireand hail,snowand clouds;Stormywind,fulfillingHis word;
The LORDalso thunderedin the heavens,And the MostHighutteredHis voice,Hailstonesand coalsof fire.
The voiceof the LORDis upon the waters;The Godof glorythunders,The LORDis overmanywaters.
The soundof Your thunderwas in the whirlwind;The lightningslitup the world;The earthtrembledand shook.
So it cameabout on the thirdday,when it was morning,that there were thunderand lightningflashesand a thickcloudupon the mountainand a veryloudtrumpetsound,so that allthe peoplewho[were] in the camptrembled.
Allthe peopleperceivedthe thunderand the lightningflashesand the soundof the trumpetand the mountainsmoking;and when the peoplesaw[it], they trembledand stoodat a distance.
"Behold,about this timetomorrow,I will senda veryheavyhail,suchas has not been[seen] in Egyptfrom the dayit was foundeduntilnow.
So there was hail,and fireflashingcontinually in the midstof the hail,verysevere,suchas had not beenin allthe landof Egyptsinceit becamea nation.
And the LORDwill cause His voiceof authorityto be heard,And the descendingof His armto be seenin fierceanger,And [in] the flameof a consumingfireIn cloudburst,downpourand hailstones.
"With pestilenceand with bloodI will enterinto judgmentwith him; and I will rainon him and on his troops,and on the manypeopleswhoare with him, a torrentialrain,with hailstones,fireand brimstone.
As they fledfrom beforeIsrael,[while] they were at the descentof Beth-horon,the LORDthrewlargestonesfrom heavenon them as faras Azekah,and they died;[there were] morewhodiedfrom the hailstonesthanthose whomthe sonsof Israelkilledwith the sword.
And there were flashes of lightningand soundsand peals of thunder;and there was a greatearthquake,suchas there had not beensincemancameto be upon the earth,sogreatan earthquake[was it, and] somighty.
And hugehailstones,aboutone hundred poundseach, came downfrom heavenupon men;and menblasphemedGodbecauseof the plagueof the hail,becauseits plaguewas extremelysevere.
The firstsounded,and there camehailand fire,mixedwith blood,and they were thrownto the earth;and a thirdof the earthwas burnedup, and a thirdof the treeswere burnedup, and allthe greengrasswas burnedup.
