Then the LORDsaidto Moses,"Sayto Aaron,'Takeyour staffand stretchout your handoverthe watersof Egypt,overtheir rivers,overtheir streams,and overtheir pools,and overalltheir reservoirsof water,that they may becomeblood;and there will be bloodthroughout allthe landof Egypt,both in [vessels of] woodand in [vessels of] stone.'"
Godcalledthe drylandearth,and the gatheringof the watersHe calledseas;and Godsawthat it was good.
Then he saidto Gehazi,"Girdup your loinsand takemy staffin your hand,and goyour way; ifyou meetanyman,do not salutehim, and ifanyonesalutesyou, do not answerhim; and laymy staffon the lad'sface."
Then the LORDsaidto Moses,"Stretchout your handoverthe landof Egyptfor the locusts,that they may comeup on the landof Egyptand eateveryplantof the land,[even] allthat the hailhas left."
Then the LORDsaidto Moses,"Stretchout your handtowardthe sky,that there may be darknessoverthe landof Egypt,even a darknesswhich may be felt."
"As for you, liftup your staffand stretchout your handoverthe seaand divideit, and the sonsof Israelshall gothroughthe midstof the seaon dryland.
Then Mosesstretchedout his handoverthe sea;and the LORDsweptthe sea[back] by a strongeastwindallnightand turnedthe seainto dryland,so the waterswere divided.
Then the LORDsaidto Moses,"Stretchout your handoverthe seaso that the watersmay comebackoverthe Egyptians,overtheir chariotsand their horsemen."
"But ifthey will not believeeventhesetwosignsor heedwhatyou say,then you shall takesomewaterfrom the Nileand pourit on the dryground;and the waterwhichyou takefrom the Nilewill becomebloodon the dryground."
Then the LORDsaidto Moses,"Sayto Aaron,'Stretchout your staffand strikethe dustof the earth,that it may becomegnatsthrough allthe landof Egypt.'"
So Moseswentout of the cityfrom Pharaoh,and spreadout his handsto the LORD;and the thunderand the hailceased,and rainnolonger pouredon the earth.
And the pillars[of Egypt] will be crushed;Allthe hiredlaborerswill be grievedin soul.
On thisaccountthe angerof the LORDhas burnedagainst His people,And He has stretchedout His handagainstthem and struckthem down.And the mountainsquaked,and their corpseslaylike refusein the middleof the streets.For allthisHis angeris not spent,But His handis stillstretchedout.
Did the LORDrageagainst the rivers,Or[was] Your angeragainst the rivers,Or[was] Your wrathagainst the sea,That You rodeon Your horses,On Your chariotsof salvation?
