"Moreover, you shall makean altaras a placefor burningincense;you shall makeit of acaciawood.
The innersanctuary[was] twentycubitsin length,twentycubitsin width,and twentycubitsin height,and he overlaidit with puregold.He also overlaidthe altarwith cedar.
He overlaidthe wholehousewith gold,untilallthe housewas finished.Also the wholealtarwhichwas by the innersanctuaryhe overlaidwith gold.
Solomonmadeallthe furniturewhich[was in] the houseof the LORD:the goldenaltarand the goldentableon which[was] the breadof the Presence;
and for the altarof incenserefinedgoldby weight;and goldfor the modelof the chariot,[even] the cherubimthat spreadout [their wings] and coveredthe arkof the covenantof the LORD.
But Aaronand his sonsofferedon the altarof burntofferingand on the altarof incense,for allthe workof the mostholyplace,and to makeatonementfor Israel,according to allthat Mosesthe servantof Godhad commanded.
But when he becamestrong,his heartwas so proudthat he actedcorruptly,and he was unfaithfulto the LORDhis God,for he enteredthe templeof the LORDto burnincenseon the altarof incense.
"Aaronshall makeatonementon its hornsoncea year;he shall makeatonementon it with the bloodof the sinofferingof atonementoncea yearthroughout your generations.It is mostholyto the LORD."
"Its length[shall be] a cubit,and its widtha cubit,it shall be square,and its height[shall be] two cubits;its horns[shall be] of one piece with it.
the tablealso and its utensils,and the pure[gold] lampstandwith allits utensils,and the altarof incense,
and the altarof incenseand its poles,and the anointingoiland the fragrantincense,and the screenfor the doorwayat the entranceof the tabernacle;
and the goldaltar,and the anointingoiland the fragrantincense,and the veilfor the doorwayof the tent;
"Moreover, you shall setthe goldaltarof incensebeforethe arkof the testimony,and setup the veilfor the doorwayto the tabernacle.
The altar[was] of wood,threecubitshighand its lengthtwocubits;its corners,its baseand its sides[were] of wood.And he saidto me, "Thisis the tablethat is beforethe LORD."
He shall putsomeof the bloodon the hornsof the altarwhichis beforethe LORDin the tentof meeting;and allthe bloodhe shall pourout at the baseof the altarof burntofferingwhichis at the doorwayof the tentof meeting.
The priestshall also putsomeof the bloodon the hornsof the altarof fragrantincensewhichis beforethe LORDin the tentof meeting;and allthe bloodof the bullhe shall pourout at the baseof the altarof burntofferingwhichis at the doorwayof the tentof meeting.
Now their duties[involved] the ark,the table,the lampstand,the altars,and the utensilsof the sanctuarywith whichthey minister,and the screen,and allthe serviceconcerning them;
"Overthe goldenaltarthey shall spreada blueclothand coverit with a coveringof porpoiseskin,and shall insertits poles;
havinga goldenaltar of incenseand the arkof the covenantcoveredon all sideswith gold,in whichwas a goldenjarholdingthe manna,and Aaron'srodwhich budded,and the tablesof the covenant;
Anotherangelcameand stoodat the altar,holdinga goldencenser;and muchincensewas givento him, sothat he might addit to the prayersof allthe saintson the goldenaltarwhich was beforethe throne.
