"You shall maketwocherubimof gold,makethem of hammeredworkat the twoendsof the mercyseat.
So He drovethe manout; and at the eastof the gardenof EdenHe stationedthe cherubimand the flamingswordwhich turnedevery direction to guardthe wayto the treeof life.
and for the altarof incenserefinedgoldby weight;and goldfor the modelof the chariot,[even] the cherubimthat spreadout [their wings] and coveredthe arkof the covenantof the LORD.
Then he madetwosculpturedcherubimin the roomof the holyof holiesand overlaidthem with gold.
"You shall makea mercyseatof puregold,two and a halfcubitslongand one and a halfcubitswide.
"Makeonecherubat oneendand onecherubat the otherend;you shall makethe cherubim[of one piece] with the mercyseatat its twoends.
"Their bulbsand their branches[shall be of one piece] with it; allof it shall be onepiece of hammeredworkof puregold.
And He spoketo the manclothedin linenand said,"Enterbetweenthe whirlingwheelsunderthe cherubimand fillyour handswith coalsof firefrom betweenthe cherubimand scatter[them] overthe city."And he enteredin my sight.
Theseare the livingbeingsthat I sawbeneaththe Godof Israelby the riverChebar;so I knewthat they [were] cherubim.
Now the cherubimwere standingon the rightsideof the templewhen the manentered,and the cloudfilledthe innercourt.
and aboveit [were] the cherubimof gloryovershadowingthe mercy seat;but of these thingswe cannotnowspeakin detail.
So the peoplesentto Shiloh,and from therethey carriedthe arkof the covenantof the LORDof hostswho sits[above] the cherubim;and the twosonsof Eli,Hophniand Phinehas,[were] therewith the arkof the covenantof God.
