then he saidto them, "Thisis whatthe LORDmeant:Tomorrowis a sabbathobservance,a holysabbathto the LORD.Bakewhatyou will bakeand boilwhatyou will boil,and allthat is leftoverputasideto be keptuntilmorning."
"Then You camedownon MountSinai,And spokewith them from heaven;You gavethem justordinancesand true laws,Goodstatutesand commandments.
"So You madeknownto them Your holysabbath,And laiddownfor them commandments,statutesand law,ThroughYour servantMoses.
Mosessaidto them, "Let nomanleaveanyof it untilmorning."
"Sixdaysyou are to doyour work,but on the seventhdayyou shall cease[from labor] sothat your oxand your donkeymay rest,and the sonof your femaleslave,as well as your stranger,may refreshthemselves.
For sixdaysworkmay be done,but on the seventhdaythere is a sabbathof completerest,holyto the LORD;whoeverdoesanyworkon the sabbathdayshall surelybe putto death.
"You shall not bringa loadout of your houseson the sabbathdaynordoanywork,but keepthe sabbathdayholy,as I commandedyour forefathers.

Now the mannawas like corianderseed,and its appearancelike that of bdellium.
The peoplewould goaboutand gather[it] and grind[it] between two millstonesorbeat[it] in the mortar,and boil[it] in the potand makecakeswith it; and its tastewas as the tasteof cakesbakedwith oil.
Thenthey returnedand preparedspicesand perfumes.And on the Sabbaththey restedaccordingto the commandment.
Observethe sabbathdayto keepit holy,as the LORDyour Godcommandedyou.
