Whateveryour handfindsto do,do[it] with [all] your might;for thereis noactivityor planningor knowledgeor wisdomin Sheolwhereyou are going.
Then allhis sonsand allhis daughtersaroseto comforthim, but he refusedto be comforted.And he said,"SurelyI will godownto Sheolin mourningfor my son."So his fatherweptfor him.
"Nowsetyour heartand your soulto seekthe LORDyour God;arise,therefore, and buildthe sanctuaryof the LORDGod,so that you may bringthe arkof the covenantof the LORDand the holyvesselsof Godinto the housethat is to be builtfor the nameof the LORD."
Then Davidsaidto his sonSolomon,"Be strongand courageous,and act;do not fearnorbe dismayed,for the LORDGod,my God,is with you. He will not failyou norforsakeyou untilallthe workfor the serviceof the houseof the LORDis finished.
And I arosein the night,I and a fewmenwith me. I did not tellanyonewhatmy Godwas puttinginto my mindto dofor Jerusalemand therewas noanimalwith me exceptthe animalon whichI was riding.
He spokein the presenceof his brothersand the wealthy[men] of Samariaand said,"Whatare these feebleJewsdoing?Are they going to restore[it] for themselves? Can they offersacrifices?Can they finishin a day?Can they revivethe stonesfrom the dustyrubbleeven the burnedones?"
So we builtthe walland the wholewallwas joinedtogetherto halfits [height], for the peoplehada mindto work.
BeforeI go--and I shall not return--To the landof darknessand deepshadow,
The landof uttergloomas darkness[itself], Of deepshadowwithoutorder,And which shinesas the darkness."
"They spendtheir daysin prosperity,And suddenlythey godownto Sheol.
For thereis nomentionof You in death;In Sheolwhowill giveYou thanks?
Do not sayto your neighbor,"Go,and comeback,And tomorrowI will give[it]," When you haveit with you.
Ifthe cloudsare full,they pourout rainupon the earth;and whethera treefallstoward the southor toward the north,whereverthe treefalls,thereit lies.
Sowyour seedin the morningand do not be idlein the evening,for you do not knowwhethermorningorevening sowing will succeed,or whetherbothof them alikewill be good.
I said,"In the middleof my lifeI am to enterthe gatesof Sheol;I am to be deprivedof the restof my years."
You will seekMe and find[Me] whenyou searchfor Me with allyour heart.
Then Calebquietedthe peoplebeforeMosesand said,"We should by allmeansgoup and takepossessionof it, for we will surelyovercomeit."
"They saidto him, 'Becauseno onehiredus.' He saidto them, 'You gointo the vineyardtoo.'
"But seekfirstHis kingdomand His righteousness,and allthese thingswill be addedto you.
Jesussaidto them, "My foodis to dothe willof Him who sentMe and to accomplishHis work.
for an angelof the Lordwent downat certainseasonsinto the pooland stirredup the water;whoever thenfirst,afterthe stirringup of the water,steppedin was madewellfrom whateverdiseasewith whichhe was afflicted].
"We mustworkthe worksof Him who sentMe as longas it is day;nightis comingwhenno onecanwork.
not lagging behindin diligence,ferventin spirit,servingthe Lord;
But by the graceof GodI amwhatI am,and His gracetowardme did not provevain;but I laboredeven morethan allof them, yetnot I, but the graceof Godwith me.
NowifTimothycomes,seethat he is with you without cause to be afraid,for he is doingthe Lord'swork,as I alsoam.
Do you not knowthat thosewho runin a raceallrun,but [only] onereceivesthe prize?Runin such a waythat you may win.
ThereforeI runin sucha way,as not without aim;I boxin such a way,as not beatingthe air;
making the mostof your time,becausethe daysare evil.
Whateveryou do,do your workheartily,as for the Lordratherthanfor men,
"It shall be whenthesesignscometo you, dofor yourself whatthe occasionrequires,for Godis with you.
