Therefore He saidthat He would destroythem, Had not MosesHis chosenone stoodin the breachbeforeHim, To turnawayHis wrathfrom destroying[them].
Let his posteritybe cutoff; In a followinggenerationlet their namebe blottedout.
You have rebukedthe nations,You have destroyedthe wicked; You have blottedout their nameforeverand ever.
The memoryof the righteousis blessed,But the nameof the wickedwill rot.
"Your descendantswould have beenlike the sand,And your offspringlike its grains;Their namewould neverbe cutoffor destroyedfrom My presence."
So the LORDsaidto me, "Do not prayfor the welfareof thispeople.
Then the LORDsaidto me, "Even thoughMosesand Samuelwere to standbeforeMe, My heartwould not be with thispeople;sendthem awayfrom My presenceand let them go!
"As for you, do not prayfor thispeople, and do not liftup cryor prayerfor them, and do not intercedewith Me; for I do not hearyou.
"You men who are stiff-neckedand uncircumcisedin heartand earsare alwaysresistingthe HolySpirit;you are doing justas your fathersdid.
"The LORDshall neverbe willingto forgivehim, but ratherthe angerof the LORDand His jealousywill burnagainst that man,and everycursewhich is writtenin thisbookwill reston him, and the LORDwill blotout his namefrom underheaven.
I would have said,"I will cutthem to pieces,I will removethe memoryof them from men,"
He who overcomeswill thusbe clothedin whitegarments;and I will not erasehis namefrom the bookof life, and I will confesshis namebeforeMy Fatherand beforeHis angels.
