"He will delivertheir kingsinto your handso that you will make their nameperishfrom underheaven;nomanwill be able to standbeforeyou untilyou have destroyedthem.
You have rebukedthe nations,You have destroyedthe wicked;You have blottedout their nameforeverand ever.
Then the LORDsaidto Moses,"Writethisin a bookas a memorialand reciteit to Joshua,that I will utterlyblotout the memoryof Amalekfrom underheaven."
The memoryof the righteousis blessed,But the nameof the wickedwill rot.
"Noweaponthat is formedagainstyou will prosper;And everytonguethat accusesyou in judgmentyou will condemn.Thisis the heritageof the servantsof the LORD,And their vindicationis from Me," declaresthe LORD.
Thusyou shall sayto them, "The godsthat did not makethe heavensand the earthwill perishfrom the earthand from underthe heavens."
"So I will stretchout My handagainstJudahAnd againstallthe inhabitantsof Jerusalem.And I will cutoffthe remnantof Baalfrom thisplace,[And] the namesof the idolatrouspriestsalongwith the priests.
But in allthese thingswe overwhelmingly conquerthroughHim who lovedus.
but thanksbe to God,who givesus the victorythroughour LordJesusChrist.
"Nomanwill be able to standbeforeyou; the LORDyour Godwill laythe dreadof you and the fearof you on allthe landon whichyou setfoot,as He has spokento you.
"Therefore it shall comeabout when the LORDyour Godhas givenyou restfrom allyour surroundingenemies,in the landwhichthe LORDyour Godgivesyou as an inheritanceto possess,you shall blotout the memoryof Amalekfrom underheaven;you must not forget.
"The LORDshall neverbe willingto forgivehim, but ratherthe angerof the LORDand His jealousywill burnagainst that man,and everycursewhich is writtenin thisbookwill reston him, and the LORDwill blotout his namefrom underheaven.
LetMe alone,that I may destroythem and blotout their namefrom underheaven;and I will makeof you a nationmightierand greaterthanthey.'
"Knowtherefore todaythat it is the LORDyour Godwho is crossingoverbeforeyou as a consumingfire.He will destroythem and He will subduethem beforeyou, so that you may drivethem out and destroythem quickly,justas the LORDhas spokento you.
"Nomanwill [be able to] standbeforeyou allthe daysof your life.Justas I have beenwith Moses,I will be with you; I will not failyou or forsakeyou.
They didso,and broughtthesefivekingsout to him from the cave:the kingof Jerusalem,the kingof Hebron,the kingof Jarmuth,the kingof Lachish,[and] the kingof Eglon.
Thus Joshuastruckallthe land,the hillcountryand the Negevand the lowlandand the slopesand alltheir kings.He leftnosurvivor,but he utterlydestroyedallwhobreathed,justas the LORD,the Godof Israel,had commanded.
Joshuacapturedallthesekingsand their landsat onetime,becausethe LORD,the Godof Israel,foughtfor Israel.
The LORDsaidto Joshua,"Do not fearthem, for I have giventhem into your hands;not oneof them shall standbeforeyou."
from MountHalak,that risestoward Seir,even as faras Baal-gadin the valleyof Lebanonat the footof MountHermon.And he capturedalltheir kingsand struckthem downand putthem to death.
the kingof Tirzah,one:in all,thirty-onekings.
And the LORDgavethem reston everyside,according to allthat He had swornto their fathers,and nooneof alltheir enemiesstoodbeforethem; the LORDgavealltheir enemiesinto their hand.
"And you have seenallthat the LORDyour Godhas doneto allthesenationsbecauseof you, for the LORDyour Godis He who has been fightingfor you.
"For the LORDhas drivenout greatand strongnationsfrom beforeyou; and as for you, nomanhas stoodbeforeyou to thisday.
The LORDsaidto Joshua,"See,I have givenJerichointo your hand,with its king[and] the valiantwarriors.
