"For I have chosenhim, sothat he may commandhis childrenand his householdafterhim to keepthe wayof the LORDby doingrighteousnessand justice,sothat the LORDmay bringupon AbrahamwhatHe has spokenabouthim."
He said,"Do not stretchout your handagainstthe lad,and donothingto him; for nowI knowthat you fearGod,since you have not withheldyour son,your onlyson, from Me."
that they may fearYou allthe daysthat they livein the landwhichYou have givento our fathers.

The fearof the LORDis the beginningof wisdom;A goodunderstandinghave allthose who do[His commandments]; His praiseenduresforever.

By lovingkindnessand truthiniquityis atonedfor, And by the fearof the LORDone keepsawayfrom evil.

For by me your dayswill be multiplied,And yearsof lifewill be addedto you.
The conclusion,when allhas been heard,[is]: fearGodand keepHis commandments,becausethis[applies to] everyperson.
and I will givethem oneheartand oneway,that they may fearMe always,for their own goodand for [the good of] their childrenafterthem.

ifonlyyou listenobedientlyto the voiceof the LORDyour God,to observecarefullyallthiscommandmentwhichI am commandingyou today.
you shall certainlyletthe mothergo,but the youngyou may takefor yourself, in orderthat it may be wellwith you and that you may prolongyour days.
"I callheavenand earthto witnessagainst you today,that I have setbeforeyou lifeand death,the blessingand the curse.So chooselifein orderthat you may live,you and your descendants,
by lovingthe LORDyour God,by obeyingHis voice,and by holdingfastto Him; for thisis your lifeand the lengthof your days,that you may livein the landwhichthe LORDsworeto your fathers,to Abraham,Isaac,and Jacob,to givethem."

"So the LORDcommandedus to observeallthesestatutes,to fearthe LORDour Godfor our goodalwaysand for our survival,as [it is] today.
You shall teachthem diligentlyto your sonsand shall talkof them when you sitin your houseand when you walkby the wayand when you liedownand when you riseup.
that allthe peoplesof the earthmay knowthat the handof the LORDis mighty,sothat you may fearthe LORDyour Godforever."
