"They shall becomea signand a wonderon you and your descendantsforever.
Behold,I and the childrenwhomthe LORDhas givenme are for signsand wondersin Israelfrom the LORDof hosts,who dwellson MountZion.
"I will also makethiscitya desolationand an [object of] hissing;everyonewho passesby it will be astonishedand hissbecauseof allits disasters.
Jerusalemand the citiesof Judahand its kings[and] its princes,to makethem a ruin,a horror,a hissingand a curse,as it is thisday;
"I will setMy faceagainst that manand makehim a signand a proverb,and I will cuthim offfrom amongMy people.So you will knowthat I am the LORD.
"When they cameto the nationswherethey went,they profanedMy holyname,because it was saidof them, 'Theseare the peopleof the LORD;yet they have comeout of His land.'
So it will be a reproach,a reviling,a warningand an objectof horrorto the nationswhosurroundyou when I executejudgmentsagainst you in anger,wrathand ragingrebukes.I, the LORD,have spoken.
and the earthopenedits mouthand swallowedthem up along with Korah,when that companydied,when the firedevoured250men,so that they becamea warning.
Nowthese thingshappenedto them as an example,and they were writtenfor our instruction,upon whomthe endsof the ageshave come.
"You shall becomea horror,a proverb,and a tauntamong allthe peoplewherethe LORDdrivesyou.
then the LORDwill bringextraordinaryplagueson you and your descendants,even severeand lastingplagues,and miserableand chronicsicknesses.
"The LORDshall neverbe willingto forgivehim, but ratherthe angerof the LORDand His jealousywill burnagainst that man,and everycursewhich is writtenin thisbookwill reston him, and the LORDwill blotout his namefrom underheaven.
and the LORDuprootedthem from their landin angerand in furyand in greatwrath,and castthem into anotherland,as [it is] thisday.'
