"The LORDwas angrywith me alsoon your account,saying,Not evenyou shall enterthere.
But the LORDsaidto Mosesand Aaron,"Becauseyou have not believedMe, to treatMe as holyin the sightof the sonsof Israel,thereforeyou shall not bringthisassemblyinto the landwhichI have giventhem."
So the LORDsaidto Moses,"TakeJoshuathe sonof Nun,a manin whomis the Spirit,and layyour handon him;
Goup to the topof Pisgahand liftup your eyesto the westand northand southand east,and see[it] with your eyes,for you shall not crossoverthisJordan.
But chargeJoshuaand encouragehim and strengthenhim, for he shall goacrossat the headof thispeople,and he will givethem as an inheritancethe landwhichyou will see.'
And he saidto them, "I am a hundredand twentyyearsoldtoday;I am nolongerableto comeand go,and the LORDhas saidto me, 'You shall not crossthisJordan.'
"For you shall seethe landat a distance,but you shall not gothere,into the landwhichI am givingthe sonsof Israel."
Then the LORDsaidto him, "Thisis the landwhichI sworeto Abraham,Isaac,and Jacob,saying,'I will giveit to your descendants;I have let you see[it] with your eyes,but you shall not gooverthere."
"Now the LORDwas angrywith me on your account,and sworethat I would not crossthe Jordan,and that I would not enterthe goodlandwhichthe LORDyour Godis givingyou as an inheritance.
"For I will diein thisland,I shall not crossthe Jordan,but you shall crossand takepossessionof thisgoodland.
