And on account of transgressionthe hostwill be givenover [to the horn] alongwith the regularsacrifice;and it will flingtruthto the groundand perform[its will] and prosper.
"The tentsof the destroyersprosper,And those who provokeGodare secure,WhomGodbringsinto their power.
Your righteousnessis an everlastingrighteousness,And Your lawis truth.
And do not takethe wordof truthutterlyout of my mouth,For I waitfor Your ordinances.
Becausethey do not regardthe worksof the LORDNorthe deedsof His hands,He will tearthem downand not buildthem up.
Justiceis turnedback,And righteousnessstandsfaraway;For truthhas stumbledin the street,And uprightnesscannotenter.
Righteousare You, O LORD,that I would plead[my] casewith You; IndeedI would discussmattersof justicewith You: Whyhas the wayof the wickedprospered?[Why] are allthose who dealin treacheryat ease?
"Then he will returnto his landwith muchplunder;but his heartwill be [set] againstthe holycovenant,and he will takeactionand [then] returnto his [own] land.
"I keptlooking,and that hornwas wagingwarwith the saintsand overpoweringthem
I sawthe rambuttingwestward,northward,and southward,and no[other] beastscould standbeforehim norwas thereanyone to rescuefrom his power,but he didas he pleasedand magnified[himself].
It was alsogivento him to makewarwith the saintsand to overcomethem, and authorityovereverytribeand peopleand tongueand nationwas givento him.
Now Davidknewthat Saulwas plottingevilagainsthim; so he saidto Abiatharthe priest,"Bringthe ephodhere."
