"Allthe commissionersof the kingdom,the prefectsand the satraps,the highofficialsand the governorshave consultedtogetherthat the kingshould establisha statuteand enforcean injunctionthat anyonewhomakesa petitionto anygodor manbesidesyou, O king,for thirtydays,shall be castinto the lions'den.
He lurksin a hidingplaceas a lionin his lair;He lurksto catchthe afflicted;He catchesthe afflictedwhen he drawshim into his net.
The kingsof the earthtaketheir standAnd the rulerstakecounseltogetherAgainstthe LORDand againstHis Anointed,saying,
For behold,they have setan ambushfor my life;Fiercemenlaunchan attackagainstme, Not for my transgressionnorfor my sin,O LORD,
You, O LORDGodof hosts,the Godof Israel,Awaketo punishallthe nations;Do not be graciousto any[who are] treacherousin iniquity.Selah.
They have counseledonlyto thrusthim downfrom his highposition;They delightin falsehood;They blesswith their mouth,But inwardlythey curse.Selah.
For they have conspiredtogetherwith one mind;AgainstYou they makea covenant:
Can a throneof destructionbe alliedwith You, One which devisesmischiefby decree?
Then the Chaldeansspoketo the kingin Aramaic:"O king,liveforever!Tellthe dreamto your servants,and we will declarethe interpretation."

Then Nebuchadnezzarthe kingsent[word] to assemblethe satraps,the prefectsand the governors,the counselors,the treasurers,the judges,the magistratesand allthe rulersof the provincesto cometo the dedicationof the imagethat Nebuchadnezzarthe kinghad setup.
The satraps,the prefects,the governorsand the king'shighofficialsgatheredaround[and] sawin regard to thesementhat the firehadnoeffecton the bodiesof these men norwas the hairof their headsinged,norwere their trousersdamaged,norhad the smellof fire[even] comeupon them.

Thenthe kinggaveorders,and Danielwas broughtin and castinto the lions'den.The kingspokeand saidto Daniel,"Your Godwhomyou constantlyservewill Himselfdeliveryou."

But the Phariseeswentout and conspiredagainstHim, [as to] howthey might destroyHim.
and they plotted togetherto seizeJesusby stealthand killHim.
