I heardthe mandressedin linen,whowas abovethe watersof the river,as he raisedhis righthandand his lefttowardheaven,and sworeby Him wholivesforeverthat it would be for a time,times,and half[a [time]; and as soon as they finishshatteringthe powerof the holypeople,allthese[events] will be completed.
"As Godlives,who has takenawaymy right,And the Almighty,who has embitteredmy soul,
And they will callthem, "The holypeople,The redeemedof the LORD";And you will be called,"Soughtout, a citynot forsaken."
And you will swear,'As the LORDlives,'In truth,in justiceand in righteousness;Then the nationswill blessthemselves in Him, And in Him they will glory."
and sayto them, 'Thussaysthe LordGOD,"On the daywhen I choseIsraeland sworeto the descendantsof the houseof Jacoband madeMyself knownto them in the landof Egypt,when I sworeto them, saying,I am the LORDyour God,
I liftedmy eyesand looked,and behold,there was a certainmandressedin linen,whose waistwas girdedwith [a belt of] puregoldof Uphaz.
"For the kingof the Northwill againraisea greatermultitudethanthe former,and afteran intervalof someyearshe will presson with a greatarmyand muchequipment.
And one saidto the mandressedin linen,whowas abovethe watersof the river,"Howlong[will it be] untilthe endof [these] wonders?"
As for me, I heardbut could not understand;so I said,"My lord,what[will be] the outcomeof these[events]?"
"Whilethe word[was] in the king'smouth,a voicecamefrom heaven,[saying], 'KingNebuchadnezzar,to you it is declared:sovereigntyhas beenremovedfrom you,
"But at the endof that period,I, Nebuchadnezzar,raisedmy eyestoward heavenand my reasonreturnedto me, and I blessedthe MostHighand praisedand honoredHim wholivesforever;For His dominionis an everlastingdominion,And His kingdom[endures] from generationto generation.
"I keptlooking,and that hornwas wagingwarwith the saintsand overpoweringthem
He will speakout againstthe MostHighand weardownthe saintsof the HighestOne,and he will intendto makealterationsin timesand in law;and they will be giveninto his handfor a time,times,and halfa time.
He saidto me, "For 2,300evenings[and] mornings;then the holyplace will be properlyrestored."
"His powerwill be mighty,but not by his [own] power,And he will destroyto an extraordinarydegreeAnd prosperand perform[his will]; He will destroymightymenand the holypeople.
"Somakeup your mindsnot to prepare beforehandto defendyourselves;
and they will fallby the edgeof the sword,and will be led captiveinto allthe nations;and Jerusalemwill be trampled underfoot by the Gentilesuntilthe timesof the Gentilesare fulfilled.
and that He will setyou highaboveallnationswhichHe has made,for praise,fame,and honor;and that you shall be a consecratedpeopleto the LORDyour God,as He has spoken."
"For the LORDwill vindicateHis people,And will havecompassionon His servants,WhenHe seesthat [their] strengthis gone,And thereis none[remaining], bondor free.
Indeed,I liftup My handto heaven,And say,as I liveforever,
"For you are a holypeopleto the LORDyour God;the LORDyour Godhas chosenyou to be a peoplefor His own possessionout of allthe peopleswhoare on the faceof the earth.
But you are A CHOSENRACE,A royalPRIESTHOOD,A HOLYNATION,A PEOPLEFOR [God's] OWN POSSESSION,sothat you may proclaimthe excellenciesof Him who has calledyou out of darknessinto His marvelouslight;
But the twowingsof the greateaglewere givento the woman,sothat she could flyinto the wildernessto her place,whereshe was nourishedfor a timeand timesand halfa time,from the presenceof the serpent.
Thenthe womanfledinto the wildernesswhereshe hada placepreparedby God,sothat thereshe would be nourishedfor one thousandtwo hundredand sixtydays.
There was givento him a mouthspeakingarrogantwords and blasphemies,and authorityto actfor forty-twomonthswas givento him.
the twenty-fourelderswill fall downbeforeHim who sitson the throne,and will worshipHim who livesforeverand ever,and will casttheir crownsbeforethe throne,saying,
And whenthe living creaturesgivegloryand honorand thanksto Him who sitson the throne,to Him who livesforeverand ever,
