"However,I will tellyou what is inscribedin the writingof truth.Yet thereis noonewho standsfirmlywith me againstthese[forces] exceptMichaelyour prince.
"But the princeof the kingdomof Persiawas withstandingme for twenty-onedays;then behold,Michael,oneof the chiefprinces,cameto helpme, for I had been lefttherewith the kingsof Persia.
"Now at that timeMichael,the greatprincewho stands[guard] overthe sonsof your people,will arise.And there will be a timeof distresssuchas neveroccurredsincethere was a nationuntilthat time;and at that timeyour people,everyonewho is foundwrittenin the book,will be rescued.
"But as for you, Daniel,concealthese wordsand sealup the bookuntilthe endof time;manywill gobackand forth,and knowledgewill increase."
"The visionof the eveningsand morningsWhichhas been toldis true;But keepthe visionsecret,For [it] pertains to manydays[in the future]."
He gave[me] instructionand talkedwith me and said,"O Daniel,I have nowcomeforthto giveyou insightwith understanding.
"So you are to knowand discern[that] from the issuingof a decreeto restoreand rebuildJerusalemuntilMessiahthe Prince[there will be] sevenweeksand sixty-twoweeks;it will be builtagain,with plazaand moat,even in timesof distress.
